The Incal contains the power of the universe. That's why everyone is trying to get their hands on it. John Difool and his companions set out on a frantic race through the planets to escape ruthless enemies with sinister intentions. Will they manage to unlock the secrets of the Incal before they are caught? The fate of the galaxies depends on the success of their quest.
What The Incal Infinite
THE INCAL comic book series is acknowledged as one of the best of graphic novels ever released for a host of obvious reasons, starting with Mœbius' inimitable graphic style and the hard-hitting, mystical themes that permeate the story created by Alessandro Jodorowsky. THE INCAL is an incredibly fast-paced chase with no downtime. And if there was ever a graphic quest that advocates unity in diversity, this is it!
It was these two features that particularly inspired us to create this game. The Incal Infinite is a team game. Together, the players have to confront an enemy and defeat him before he gets his hands on the Light Incal, which would mean the ultimate destruction of the galaxies. This board game revolves around cooperation and adrenaline. The games are short, the rules are simple but the stakes are high!

On the left, we have Manuel – the visionary creator of T.I.M.E STORIES, a mind-bending journey through space, time, and alternate realities on behalf of a shadowy agency. With 8 immersive scenarios and the gripping T.I.M.E STORIES REVOLUTION cycle, he has set the new gold standard for narrative board games. But that's not all – he's also the co-designer of the epic ASSASSIN'S CREED: BROTHERHOOD OF VENICE, where the action unfolds within the iconic franchise's universe.
On the right, we introduce Guillaume – the brilliant mind behind games like KEMET, YUCATAN, NEFERTITI, and RAPA NUI. He's the creative force behind the captivating SUSPECTS series, boasting 3 thrilling episodes, and larger-than-life role-playing games like DEATH WEARS WHITE, MURDER ON THE NILE, and BEVERLY PLACE.

How To Play ?
Players have to carry out the Transfiguration Ritual by finding each of the 7 Incal tokens in turn. But in each game, a different adversary will launch attack and use dirty tricks in order to find them first. Only the artefact’s mystical light will allow you to annihilate the enemy, who is hard on your heels.
On their turn, each player can either move the Meta-ship, miss a turn, or attempt the Transfiguration Ritual.
Moving the ship consists of 3 phases :
1. Moving the Meta-ship 1 to 6 “Location” cards
2. Exploring the location in which the Meta-ship has landed. If the conditions demanded by the Location are fulfilled, there is a Revelation: the player can secretly read the Incal token in the Location, then put it back down without revealing the number to the other players or sharing it with them.
3. Finishing their turn by picking up cards until they have 4 in their hand.
A player who chooses to attempt the Ritual must reveal, one by one and in ascending order, the Incal tokens for each Location. If they can do this, all the players will have won! If not, they will all have lost.
A game of The Incal Infinite is extremely simple and very fast. Lasting 30 minutes on average, it requires the players to communicate with each other and quickly agree on strategies to use against their common enemy.
During a game, the players can talk openly about the cards they have in their hands but never show them to the other players. It is strictly forbidden to talk about the Incal tokens, even in an indirect way!
Do you think you’ve understood the strategy? Think again! The game contains 2 Enemies (for the moment). Each of them has a different game plan. Each creature will have its own powers and its own way of taking you down. This means that, for each game, the players will have to collaborate and invent new ways of beating the enemy.

What is The Incal ?
For those rare individuals who have never encountered this masterpiece of modern culture, THE INCAL is the brainchild of its brilliant author, ALEJANDRO JODOROWSKY, the director of films such as El Topo and The Holy Mountain and writer of numerous comic books, including La Caste des Méta-Barons, The Technopriests, Bouncer and Borgia.
The story of John Difool was originally illustrated by JEAN GIRAUD, known as MŒBIUS, a legendary cartoonist who brought Blueberry, Arzach and the Silver Surfer to life and participated in many other comic strip projects (for the magazines Pilote, Métal Hurlant and L'Écho des Savanes) and the cinema (Jodorowsky's Dune, Alien, Tron). In 1980, their union gave rise to THE INCAL, one of the greatest stories of all time, both in the Franco-Belgian sphere and internationally.
Over the last 40 years, this work has influenced many great creators, such as the Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, American artists Mike Mignola and Geof Darrow, and the New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi, who will soon be adapting THE INCAL for the cinema. Today, THE INCAL’s success continues to grow, with more than 5 million albums sold worldwide!

Why Not AI is a division of Why Not Productions, which has produced films by Jacques Audiard, Bruno Podalydès and Jean-François Richet, and launched the AMERICAN NIGHTMARE franchise.
Projects currently in production include the OPEN BAR animated series for Canal+, based on the comic books by Fabcaro, a video game set in the Cthulhu Mythos, HPL: NYARLATHOTEP RISING (to be released in 2023), and now our first board game!
Risks and challenges
The project has been fully funded on the French market and the rewards pledged for France are currently being manufactured in the Czech Republic to be delivered as a first batch in July 2024.
Risks related to this campaign are therefore minimal. The game has already been prototyped and extensively tested.
Rewards come mostly in the form of being able to acquire the game in territories where it will not available at retail before 2024 or even 2025.

Although the game is completed and has been successfully released in France, we want to allow gamers and collectors around the world to acquire this major collectible piece based on the Jodorowsky and Moebius saga.
If I order a version in my own language, will I get the English box?
Indeed. The game will be delivered in the English version of the box, but you will get the rule book in your local language. None of the elements inside the box require a translation.
Can you tell me more about the designers of the game?
Sure. Manuel Rozoy is the hugely successful author of the “T.I.M.E Stories” saga, and Guillaume Montiage is well known in the US thanks to “Kemet” and “Yucatan”, two games revered by a wide audience.
Games based on preexisting IP tend to disappoint; why is yours different?
We aimed to produce an exciting gameplay that can entice both the casual and the initiated players. We have used AI models of gameplay tests to ensure deep replayability and balance the difficulty.
All the graphics are based on the actual Moebius design from the original series of books, and the theme of the game also pays homage to the unique Jodorowsky vibes.
How can I be sure you will deliver the product on time?
The product is completed and has already been released on the French market. Our company is part of a very solid group with annual sales of over USD 15 Mil in Europe.
