Hello Programmers!
Two months after the campaign, the work continues! We are deep in the development process and have some really interesting news for you today. In short, Tamashii is gaining new cyber-cool features! We are searching for the possibilities to extend some mechanics that can add significant gameplay value or polish the ones that can provide a more balanced play. That's the short version of today's update ;) Now let's go to the specifics!
We've uploaded a new mechanic. Memory, because that's what we're talking about, allows players to develop the possibilities of using Augmentation! This is an additional feature that can be developed. Depending on its value, we can obtain various numbers of more expensive or cheaper Augmentations.
The whole mechanism increases the possibilities of creating your dream character and gaining epic combos thanks to more Augmentations.
But it doesn't stop there! On this occasion, we also test the mechanics of the Memory Overload. It will be deliberately exceeding the recommended memory limit to be able to set up more Augmentation. Still, to make it not so easy, it will have quite negative effects on our character.
We also changed the functioning of the Firewall, which after more tests, turned out to be the weakest Asset.
By the way, Assets is the new name for these 4 basic tracks - power, shield, firewall, and recharge. So, now the Firewall has more uses and a more significant influence on bag building, thanks to which the progression of scenarios is more enjoyable.
A workshop icon has been added to the game, which has standardized many rules and cleaned up the game in general. In the workshop locations, you can upgrade your character, exchange bodies, gain additional tokens, and unlock new fields on the compiler. This definite improvement makes players spend less time running around the board and more on doing more interesting story-related things.
Last but not least, we decided to drop exploration of tokens. They were meant to encourage players to explore the map. At this point, after another iteration, the locations are far more interesting than they were before! So, after some internal tests, we decide that players don't need any additional encouragement to explore the world of Tamashii ;)
So, right now, we are really deep in the development phase. Alongside, our artists are working on the visual side. New 3d models are being sculpted, and the WIP sketches you know from the campaign time are gaining colors and details :) We hope to be able to show more artwork in our next update. Today we wanted to focus a bit more on the development as we are cyber-excited about all the new stuff that Tamashii has gained throughout the last weeks! Of course, we promise that all new stuff will be thoroughly tested (both internal and external) in terms of compatibility with all other components and story aspects!
