Project overview
Once again, the Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy and Trans Atlantis Games have come together to create a brand-new wave of 60 more paints for miniatures and models! This second wave doubles the size of the Two Thin Coats range to 120 paints, and 6 effects paints!
Duncan and our TAG paint team have been developing our paint further, refining our highlight paints and working hard on making sure our well-received metallics get extra attention!
Two Thin Coats Wave 2 builds on the same high quality formulas as Wave 1 mixing high pigment count with a smooth base to give your miniatures an amazing finish.
Introducing all the colours in Wave 2:
We've added 13 brand new triads to the range, with additional tones of red and blue, as well as adding Turquoise, Pink and Jade Green to the mix. We've expanded on our range of skin tones as well rounding out the range with an Olive Drab set of tones, a Green Grey as well as a set of Ochres!
These colours are designed to supplement and add to your highlights. When you need a brighter, stronger paint, reach for a bright! Hellspawn Red is Duncan's favorite, bringing a rich, bright, intense red for your painting projects.
Our new Metallics are unique in that they move away from the Triad system and gives you a selection of Bronze, Brass, and Coppers as well as a dark Iron to supplement our excellent existing gold and silvers.
Expanding on our 6 existing washes, we have Blue, Red and Purple to get that perfect colour to shade your miniatures.
Finally, we are adding a brand new type of paint to our range. The community asked, we've delivered! 6 primary and secondary tones to act as filters for your paint jobs.
We've had fun developing Wave 2, and we hope you'll enjoy using them on your painting projects.

Our friends at Sarissa Precision have created an updated design for their Two Thin Coats paint rack, that will hold all 60 of the new colors. This rack is available as an Add-On at check out!
Backers will be able to grab either a Wave 1 or Wave 2 Storage Rack for $45 each, or both racks at $85!
The racks will be sent to each backer directly from Sarissa, and the price will include the shipping cost for the racks.

TAG and the DRPA are teaming up with Spiral Galaxy to fulfill our pledges, so they will be shipping directly from Spiral Galaxy's warehouse in the UK.

Due to current events, we are unable to ship to Brazil, Russia and Ukraine.
We plan on sending Wave 1 in April, and Wave 2 in August
In accordance with UK and EU law, VAT will be charged at the same time as shipping during checkout. Backers are responsible for paying any and all local taxes and fees associated with importing their paints.
By pledging to this project, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- The rewards and stretch goals being created for this project are a “work-in-progress,” and the appearance, content, and materials of the rewards shipped are subject to change and may differ from what is shown or described during the Kickstarter project.
- You are obligated to finalize your pledge and pay any shipping fees due by the closing date of the pledge manager. If you do not, then you may not receive your rewards by the expected delivery date, nor will you be entitled to a refund. We may, at our discretion and at the availability of the rewards, ship your pledge if you contact us and confirm your pledge after the pledge manager has closed.
- Once you have confirmed your pledge in the pledge manager, our obligation is to ship your order as you have entered into the pledge manager system. Title and risk transfers to you once Trans Atlantis Games or our international fulfilment partners have delivered your rewards to a common carrier for shipment. Backers are responsible for import duties or any other duties that may be payable to the relevant tax authorities. It is your obligation to provide accurate and correct address information and ensure that the address we ship to is deliverable by normal methods.
- Rewards returned as “Undeliverable” will be held, and you will be contacted via email to inform you of the return. At our discretion, we may require additional shipping payment if the reward must be reshipped.
Backers may ask for a refund at any time. However, two weeks after the close of the pledge manager closes, we are only able to refund 85% of the total amount spent via Kickstarter and or Gamefound. Two Thin Coats Wave 2 have all been formulated by Duncan and the formulation chemists from the ground up, just as they did with Wave 1. This will assure that the paints will once again be of the highest quality. With the first campaign under our belt, where we faced many obstacles that are now behind us, we enter this next chapter with a clearer vision, many great suggestions from our backers, and a lot of experience, so we have adjusted to make sure we avoid the pitfalls of the past
