Project overview

What's in the Box?
Set in the vibrant fantasy world of Adia, Fray is a fast-paced 1 vs. 1 card game where players fight for control over a battlefield. The game is quick to learn, a blend of strategy and hand management, and it all fits in one little box.
Each copy of Fray comes with:
  • 30 playable cards—featuring the Dwarvish, Duanine, and Bjorn suits.
  • 8 instructional cards—a set for each player.
  • 1 placement card—to establish the 3x3 grid battlefield before the game begins.
Fray is already a complete game. The gameplay, art, and design are all ready, we only need some help with printing and getting the game into everyone's hands.
How to Play
Players will take turns playing spells and placing units on a small grid that represents a battlefield. As you play your units you will have the chance to convert adjacent opposing units with less power. The winner is the player with the most units at the end of the round.
When playing, unit placement is one of the most important aspects in a game of Fray. Consider not just which unit card you'll play, but also where on the battlefield you’ll place it. You have a limited number of units and if you’re not careful, your opponent may be able to turn your units against you. Luckily, you can do the same to them!
Rounds take about 5-10 minutes once you've learned the rules, and because the game is so easy to setup it makes a great filler game to break out and play when you don't have a lot of time. Check out the more in depth rules below, and if you like what you see, buy this game!
