Curious who is behind the creation of Philosophy? Read below to meet the team, from game design and art, to product design and translation.

Philosophy’s game design was done by Galen Goodwick.

Galen is an imaginative, budding game designer based in Berlin, Germany. He originally hails from the Pacific Northwest and carries with him rich ideologies, unique perspectives, and a playful attitude that is rare these days.

We first met Galen at the 2018 Berlin Con, where he was demoing a prototype of his abstract 2-player game. Years later through many passionate moments of collaboration, that prototype has turned into the game we present to you today!

Philosophy’s art & illustrations were done by Natalie Dombois.

Natalie is a freelance illustrator from Hamburg, Germany. She is incredibly talented and has experience working with major brands such as Adobe, CD Project Red, Nexus, and Sideshow. She’s also done a handful of board games too!

We reached out to Natalie because her work is breathtaking and deeply memorable. Her use of exquisite color palettes, soft textured brush strokes, and vibrant shapes filled us with joy. It was an immense honor to collaborate with her on Philosophy.

Philosophy’s game development, product design, rulebook writing, translation, and publishing was done by Quality Beast.

Quality Beast is a Berlin-based indie studio founded by Dylan Howard Cromwell in 2016. Our first original game we published was Seize the Bean. From 2018 until now, we’ve localized and published 14 titles in German and Dutch from partners such as Leder Games, Pandasaurus Games, Pencil First Games, itten, and Jellybean Games. We have another 10 upcoming localizations, including Anachrony from Mindclash Games. The team credits for Philosophy are as follows:
