Gray Eminence: Innovative board game of insidious politics by Dragon Dawn Productions
Gray Eminence is a 3-5 player game lasting 60-90 minutes, in which players take the roles of powerful puppet masters in the modern world, each working towards common goals as well as their own, secret agenda. Each shadowy figure uses money, power and influence to steer the course of multiple factions toward their own inscrutable ends. Gray Eminence does not pretend to observe political correctness or historical accuracy but rather aims to induce discussion about the world we live in. We suggest that all events in the game are plausible and event resolution options are within the range of real-world possibilities. We do not, however, pretend that our event resolution options cover all possible eventualities - If you find that you end up discussing event resolution options we didn’t list, that would count as a success in terms of our game design.

Project overview

Gray Eminence is a 2-5 player game lasting 60 - 90 minutes, over five to eight rounds, Gray Eminence players use public displays of goodwill or underhanded tactics, paying lip service to morality, to resolve international Events. They have their own Goals that appear to be in the World’s best interest as well as hidden agendas. Factions, that are similarly inclined, will offer their support; however, you’re never quite sure who is pulling the strings.

Each game begins with a highly plausible Scenario of several Events that; if resolved, should benefit humanity. The methods may be questionable. Is it Power, Money or Influence needed to get the job done? Players will convene, bid and; if agreement cannot be reached, vote on which Resolution to pass. After all, the ends surely justify the means.
Program your Action cards for the round then hope that other players don’t interfere with your plans. Factions that once supported you may change allegiance and the President of the United States is prone to Tweet and create havoc.
Trade resources, cards or make promises of future favors to succeed in your altruistic and personal endeavors. Announce one achievement each round or try again in the next.
