New Dashboard & Reward Tab
The Dashboard
We have a lot to cover here, so let's jump right into it!
First of all, a smaller but much-anticipated change: Analytics and Dashboard now update synchronously.
For the visible changes, let's start from the top:
Timeline and Contact Support
Easily accessible dates and a clear split between phases are features many creators have been eagerly awaiting, and they’re finally here. Additionally, we’ve added a button to streamline contact with your account manager.
General Project Parameters and Graphs
Scrolling down, you’ll find a familiar view. This section mirrors the new Analytics but in a condensed form for easier access. From here, you can quickly navigate to the full Analytics board by clicking the "view all statistics" button.
Community
This section provides a quick overview of your updates and their performance, the most recent comments, and Gamefound blog posts (like this one!). It’s a more convenient way to stay on top of your project without having to switch between pages just to check a single detail. It also includes "Project Notes" which are completely invisible to backers and can help with team communication or serve as reminders for better clarity.
Let us know what you think of the new Dashboard!
Reward Tab
In addition to the Reward section found within the Project Story, there’s now a separate Reward Tab. This separation allows backers to quickly access the most exciting parts of your project with faster loading times and less scrolling.
WEBM Support
The title says it all: we’ve added WEBM support to the platform! It's a format specifically designed for web use, meaning faster loading times and smaller file sizes, while maintaining MP4-quality visuals. Unlike GIFs, which can be bulky and inefficient, WEBM provides a more modern and optimized solution for high-quality animations and videos.
Until next time
