This process involves various developments, such as expanding their workforce and military might, the construction of strategically significant buildings and towers, the recruitment of heroes to spearhead their forces, acquiring sea and air vessels for mobility, and the ambitious expansion of their influence to cover every corner of the map.

During the course of the game, players will engage in epic battles, compete for territorial dominance, unleash formidable spells, and tactically oversee their resource management. Besides managing a resource-based economy, the game introduces an action economy that demands players strike a balance between allocating their serfs to construction, resource gathering, and choosing the necessary actions for advancing in the game.

The game concludes after a single round once one of the four end game conditions are met. These conditions, referred to as the 4Xs, are the following:

1. eXplore - All land exploration tokens have been revealed.

2. eXpand - All the serfs and warriors of a single player are in play.

3. eXploit - All 3 towers of a single player are in play.

4. eXterminate - A player's capital city has been destroyed.

The player who accumulates the most victory points emerges as the winner. These points can be earned through various means, including advancing your capital city to its final level, winning or even losing battles, gaining and maintaining control over regions, and units in play at the game's conclusion.
